Barbageddon Sat. July 29th, 2017 from 9AM to 3PM Puyallup, WA

SOUTH HILL / PUYALLUP, WA., July 11th, 2015 – Experience Life today, announced the second annual installment of BBQ competition, sanctioned by the Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association also known as PNWBA.

"Last year was a year to prove our willingness and hospitality to those that competed.  We not only provide a great location for our competitors, but reliable power, 24hr coffee service and hot breakfast served right to their cook station.” The PNWBA provides sanctioned rules and judges that have been trained on what proper BBQ should taste and look like.” said Dennis Cummins, pastor of Experience Church and host of this event, “this creates a level playing field and a confidence in the judging.”

“This year's Barbageddon benefit is our ‘Back to School’ Backpack Drive.” said Mina Kaikala, the event director. “The latest statistics show that In pierce county 14% of all families live below the poverty level. In addition to that another 24% are low wage earner households. Between the low incomes and the high cost of living most families have little money to purchase the essentials let alone extras such as school supplies.  Our goal is to distribute over 500 backpacks filled with school supplies.”

Hosted by Experience, a $3,500.00 purse has been put together and and registration is filling up fast.

The community will have an opportunity to get into the fun.  With BBQ samples, shaved ice, and cotton candy, you won’t go hungry.  The family will certainly have a great time.
